This picture was taken both before and after the rain. Much like my life this week. I experienced both joys and sorrows, highs and lows. And God taught me a very important lesson. Someone hurt my child this week. This mean, ole person stole from her something that she had worked so hard for and earned herself and she just took it away from my daughter. And when I saw how it crushed her soul, I morphed into an enraged mama grizzly bear. And I wanted justice and revenge. There is no hurt like when your child is hurting. And I questioned if God knew how I felt, and He reminded me that they hurt His Child too. And I had to ask God to take control of this situation and use it for His will and to give me a peace about it. And so He reminded me that He sent His Son here to teach Love. And He showed me that Love Never Fails…Love Conquers All. And though tears were dripping down our cheeks, my daughter and I decided that we would not let this mean, ole person still our joy, because we have the love of Jesus and that is something she can NEVER steal from us.
“Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
